Mendo's Ongoing tourney

i decided to make one simple rasengan, which could be useful in almost every "lightning" theme. as i remember, there is no "rasengan" like this.


i made a mistake, and i have edited my entry. only thing i changed is:

"Target: 1Ninja"

now is:

"Target: 1 Ninja battling against the user"

I initially thought that this week's theme was very restricting, but I realized it was simply a perfect opportunity to give my creativity some exercise and think outside the box a bit. Here's my entry.



Definitely different from every other rasengan card, in my opinion. The effect is rather simple, but it fits the scene that it came from. Besides, I don't think a 10-line effect is necessary for a card to be good...

I love the card L-Ino, but it seems a bit broken.

Hm... you think so too, eh? I thought it might've been, but I wasn't sure... I just didn't want a plain Rasengan that did damage, and it's hard to make a jutsu playable without it having damage or removal effect... I guess I might have overdone it a bit, haha.

Yah we're pretty lax. BTW no I'm not judging this week. Been at a con this whole weekend to now i got soooo much homework to do this sucks.... <_< Well break times over.

Well, I had big plans for this week, as I was finally going to make a jutsu for one of my OCs, Myouhime's Rasengan Barrage. Sadly, trying to make the images for it proved too difficult, at least in the time I've had; work can really take it out of you. So anyway, I decided to give up on that, and instead made a Rasenshuriken.


Now, it really is for Sage Naruto, but there aren't any, so this one could be used by existing ones; they're just going to hurt for it. My Sages have "Senjutsu" as an attribute, so this jutsu looks for it, and if it doens't find it, you get pinged. Otherwise, pay three, and banish an enemy, pay 4, and nail two. If you've got 5, send away a whole team, and hope that Naruto is still standing to claim victory.

So, it isn't Rasengan Barrage, but on the plus side, I had the inspiration to create a new OC, named Himeru, for Kekkei Genkai Craze, and while she doesn't have one, yet (maybe her purple eyes will mean something?) she does combine well the powers of Shadow and Manipulation, as well as an impressive brain. She's also hot. Keep looking at my general card page, and you might see her soon, if I can finish her art, and the Mission that goes with her (okay, it's there; go see).

UchihaKyoji23-11/20 Its very sloppy and the effect the first time I read it, I was like just say Give 1 Damage to the target. But then after re reading it, it makes more sense. I do kind of enjoyed the effect tho. Mendo please give his some bonus points because I missed his card last round.

aurelio-15/20 your base Jutsu template is a little sloppy but not bad. The effect It is good it fits the card and I enjoy it nice.

Lovely Ino- 19/20 I absolutely love this card I would run it if it were real. The only issue I have is I believe there should be a Bar after the Jutsu cost.

MJM- 14/20 Im sorry your losing so many point but you have an Earth template on a Lightning jutsu that is something bandai hasnt even done. Other wise I like the effect but kind of generic.

Venkelos-15/20 Its to good I think the rasenshuriken bandai just released is like crappy compared to this. Also your requirements are written out wrong. Nice card tho.

I guess I'm still getting used to CS3. On 6.0 I just had to hit the layer of the Lightning Template and it'd show up but I guess I have to hit the eye as well on CS3.

I know this isn't the right place for this, but for me it is. Does anyone who makes cards have the upper left fan shuriken, but blank? I am working on a little something that isn't a Ninja, Mission, Jutsu, or Client, and I need to make a thing in the corner, but I can't neatly make the one look blank, to change it for my card. Any help would be great.

Well, I guess it will be me. Mendo, or N4E, keep giving me reasons to use my own characters, when I can scrap something together, so I did. This is the one who began all of my Naruto fanfictions. There wouldn't be an Anbu Orihime, a bloated balloon of a man with dead bone pulse, or many other characters if not for this one. This is Mikomi, who I am going to assume everyone knows, by now (if not, let me know, and where have you been the last two+ years?) This card is part revisit, and part revision.


Alright, onto the card. I tried to follow Mendo's Ultimate PS thread as well as possible. Her main effect is interesting, I think. You automatically get one jutsu you wanted, which is cool, and the best part is, since Mikomi can use jutsus that other named Ninjas use (predominantly Tsunade and Sasuke), if you have either of them in your deck (and you should), you are getting them jutsus, too. The trade off, of course, is that you will get no new ninjas, missions, or clients, so it is advised you be satisfied with your field and hand, when using this ability. As for the other, all of my Mikomis can use Sasuke's, Sakura's, and Tsunade's jutsus. This can get Tasteless and Odorless Drug, or Mitotic Regeneration out a bit earlier, and give you another user for Chidoris. Like her Mom and mentor, she is smart, too. She's of a strength resembling T4 Gaaras and T3 Sakuras, which I like. She has Dual Affinity for Sharingans and Button Hook Punches.

The art is weird for me, as I usually display Sharingan eyes on anyone who has them, but it doesn't hurt this one, being absent.

Okay, that about sums her up.

Venk, technically the REAL, "REAL" Kunoichi is my card because yours is a fan made character. But I like all your ideas.

Here's my entry, an Anko!

I tried to make it work in Females as well as work in Lightning, her current element, and Water her original element.



And now an explanation.

Let's start with her symbols. Lightning was her primary symbol for her adult life, however I believe Anko should also have some Water in there so I made her Lightning/Water.

The average Turn 3 Anko is normal and good however she has 1 Hand Cost because of her effect and I guess her stat boost.

To help out Females a bit, I let her jump into play if you had 2 or more Females. So if you hit curve with Females she's your 2 drop.

Her second effect is a mix of the styles of Lightning and Water. Lightning's ability to go "suicidal" and Water's ability to snipe via Chakra. The extra support in Healthy was something Lightning needed.

To make it not be splashable I gave it the handcost so only a few decks could play her that need her. Examples include Kunoichi, Lightning, and Water. Fire and Earth can do without her.

I'm not sure if she's really that medically skilled, rather than just having special chakra, but I like this, and it looks good.

This card's sort of a milestone for me, because the ink and colors for Ino (foreground, not background) were done from scratch, by yours truly. Ironically, you can't see most of it due to the text box and lengthy flavor text. Boo.

Her first effect is supposed to show that Sakura always seemed to stick with Ino. And if not Sakura, Ino was popular enough that she probably always had friends with her. Second effect is obviously showing that Ino helped Sakura become strong. I struggled a bit with her stats, but Sakura (Childhood) showed me that it's okay for baby versions to be more powerful than genin versions, and I felt that these stats were more accurate. Decided against Mind Combat Attribute, because she probably couldn't use Mind Transfer Jutsu at this point.

Lovely Ino: 19/20 AMAZING ART! it looks awesome the effect is nice to but I see this being rogued if people were all like OMG shino gives us a crappy bug coin. This card gives you more its not bad but it might be to good in some cases.


aurelio: 17/20. It might be too good I dont see my opponent not having 3 chakras by turn 2-3 if they arent already dry from using FBG. I dont think shes a genin but thats just me. Also the effect is worded wrong.


MJM:19/20 another great card. I like the effect but I am sad she doesnt have snake.


Venkelos: Has it really been 2 years gosh where does time go. As to the card I believe it is broken I do see you posted support on why you did it but this virtually allows me to get any jutsu I need, if I was running her and in female she can use everything. The other effect of her using all of those jutsu's isnt bad it helps females alot but it might be a little to good for a rare with that other effect. Over all I really love Mikomi and wish you would make more of her.
