The End is Nigh

Well, it looks like the Naruto CCG is now done. With a sad announcement, Bandai has revealed that the last video game set was their final one for the game. It saddens me that some of the really cool endgame stuff will not be carded, but one supposes they made more money by NOT initially announcing that this was the final set.

As for card making, I plan to maintain my hobby with it, and post stuff here, even if I rarely see anyone else here. It's nice to see that, in the end, I outlived the game with my craft. It was fun, though.

Even though the game has ended our cards will live on and be seen by others. Honestly, I feel if the card game were left in our hands it would have been alive and thriving today. Not Over Powered and dead, leading to 90% of the people quitting. It really was a whole lot of fun though.

Yeah, I gotta agree. The saddest bit is I was looking forward to a few cards in the last set (which isn't going to get made), such as evil Obito, [Impure Resurrection] the 4 Hokages, and such; maybe 9 Tails Sage Naruto, too. Oh well. And yeah, our cool stuff will survive here, for fans on down the road to see.

Have to see what card game can eat my money, now. I don't MtG that much, haven't bought Yugioh since 5D's, and disliked Vs, as a whole. Maybe Warhammer 40k can finally get my cash.

Hello my name is Ticonivus i am new to this forum but i have played Naruto as a hobby with my friends for a long time. I never did any tournaments because i do not like block all mch. I prefer unlimted because your theme optikns are much more open. I know that Bandai has stoped making sets but does it have to end there. Can we revive the fan created cards? I havnt been into long but know i love the fan cards more i think we should contine with the sets. I want to learn how to make the cards and help. If anyone has good links to all the template stuff and maybe some pointers on how to use photoshop cs5 let me know.

I switched to cardfight vanguard. Been playing for a year or so. It's starting to get bigger in the US now. Not cheapest but cheaper than others. Also it's clan based so you can easily get away with buying singles and skipping sets. Alot more balanced than Naruto btw. Some sites even have templates to make fun cards of it I think V-mundi has it. Beware though the anime for it is very cheesy. But its an anime based on the card game like yugioh not a card game based on an anime like naruto.

I myself am still working on the One Piece FMCG. Right now it is in it's 3rd incarnation. I posted the first version here years ago, the second might or might not have been posted, but currently I'm working on the third version. Anyone in favor of bringing this forum back to life?

Naruto's passing as a CCG won't end my card-making shenanigans; many of my cards weren't even official characters, and I used to make other anime/manga characters loosely based on the Naruto CCG mechs. Since the boards are just "Card Making", any other popular lines could also be shown, say if you are into MtG, or Yugioh!; I used to try my hand at Vs. card making, and one or two even turned out kind of good, and these are just lines I am familiar with.

I think this forum could go on for quite some time, so long as people continue to want to make their own stuff for everyone else to see.

Man, it's crazy to see that the site still has some life. I too will probably start posting cards I make here, since it is still a hobby of mine. It's very nostalgic to see people posting on here.
