Hey guys. I'm a new member to this site. I will store my card's here. Every week unless I say otherwise, I will post at least one card for every element. Here's my first set. Please tell me what you think about the effect, art, and overall quality. I'll post the lightning card soon.

So sorry for the silence. You're cards are quite nice for someone that is just beginning. You especially have a pretty good grasp on spelling and correct wording. There are a few mistakes on the wording, but overall that area is well done.

You're pictures are a little blurry; it's fairly obvious they're directly from the anime. I appreciate the fact that you're trying to find pictures that are not commonly found on fanmade cards, but the quality is low. I think you should try to find some middle ground? You did a good job rendering them, though, so it's apparent that you've got what it takes.

All your cards are lacking the white outline and drop shadow around the character; are you using GIMP or Photoshop? You can find tutorials on how to add these with either program on this site.

There are some format errors with the font used, placement, and size. This is probably the hardest thing to get right, so you shouldn't feel bad. In fact, you're in luck - if you start participating in mendo's ongoing tourney, you'll win points that you can trade for things that will help you conquer all of these problems.

I use Gimp. I apologize for forgetting to explain the characteristics. Here's what they are.

PATCH: During your mission phase, you may heal one of your ninjas. In that case, place a -1/-1 coin on the healed ninja.

Patch will almost only be given to medical ninjas. It will be an uncommon characteristic.

DESPERATION: At the end of the showdown, if your opponent has at least 10 battle rewards, you may remove this ninja from game. In that case, discard your opponent's battle rewards until the total battle rewards your opponent has are 9.

Desperation will be given to ninjas known for making heroic deeds or last stand kind of things. This will also not be very common.

GUTS: (couldn't think of a better name...) When this ninja would be given
damage in either status, you may negate that damage. In that case change
this ninja to injured status and place a -X/+0 coin. If this ninja's
combat goes below 0 due to this effect, discard this ninja. X = damage
given times 2.

Guts will be given to ninjas who are known to not give up. Usually Naruto, Hinata, Jiraiya, and possibly some versions of Sasuke. Will prolly be the least common of the new characteristics.

RASENGAN (or whatever jutsu name. basically will be called jutsu name: X): basically mastery except only for Rasengan jutsu cards or whatever name is used.

Jutsu name: X will be given to ninjas known for having signature techniques or sometimes the specific jutsu the card corresponds to. Examples are Chidori, Rasengan, Almighty Push, ect. This will be a fairly common characteristic.

TIME: This is the same thing as growth except it doesn't give growth coins, and you still have to pay the handcost.

Time will generally be given to ninjas like Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, ect. This will prolly be the most common of the new characteristics.

I thank you for your feedback though. I'll start doing that drop shadow and outline things you were talking about. expect better cards in the future.
I'm thinking of doing a set. I want to try creating a new mechanic utilizing negative turn markers.
Hopefully, the negative turn marker thing is a success.

Here's a jutsu card card to go with Naruto (sage mode)! The template I got had the yellow line a little bit too high which is why the name is kinda scrunched. Enjoy!

Edit: The Rasen Shuriken will be errata'd to place the poison coin on a non-sage user permanently.

My next card is gonna be Sasuke! After that, I'll make some more jutsu cards for Naruto. After that's all done, I'll go back to giving each element at least 1 card every week.

It's great that you added the white outline and drop shadow this time, but I think that they might be a little off. I hope it's not too presumptuous of me, but I'm terrible at explaining things, so I made a video demonstrating how I would go about adding these two features in GIMP.

I don't usually use GIMP, so I can't swear that it's the "best" way, but if you at least use the values I chose as a starting point, I think your cards will start looking better. I hope it helped a little.

Here's yet another Rasen jutsu. The card is supposed to be a super rare. The rarity will be explained when I post my next card. I won't be able to post the card until Thursday due to technical problems. Anyways, enjoy!
