Alternative Naruto Card Games

Does anyone play the Card Game differently then the way the rules state? Like me and my friends always play 2v2 Battles, 20 Battle rewards (10 Each) Shared chakra area, Shared Card effects (except ones that search the deck). Seperate Hands, but your allowed to pay the hand cost of a card from your teammates hand. Theres a few more rules, but I was just wondering if anyone else plays the card game a little differently then the real way sometimes.

My store used to play all different kinds of tourneys. We had team battle done different from yours though, we had "The List"(every 5 minutes a random effect from a list went off. ex: every ninja uses their support value.) There was Highlander (every card is restricted to 1). Dead is Dead (once a ninja dies you cannot put a ninja with the same name in play unless you use a revival card like oro's or medical.) Umm, i cant remember the rest, these were some of the more common ones.

The List sounds very interesting. What were some more actions on the list?

I like the sound of the dead is dead one, makes it like its a realistic fight which sounds fun until you lose your best ninja lol

Place a growth coin on all ninjas, Tide of Deadly Combat, all ninjas are considered to have growth, all ninjas are considered to have ambush, all ninjas use support, all ninjas use combat, discard 1 of your opponents ninjas, return 1 battle reward to your hand, all jutsus no longer have requirements(remember this last for 5mins epic for beginning of game action), all jutsus are considered to have generic costs, all cards that go to your chakra are are discarded(if you dont already have chakra yur sol), damage all ninjas, heal all ninjas, injure all ninjas, when a ninja is discarded you can move it to your chakra area instead, when a ninja is discarded you can move it to the bottom of your deck instead, negate all ninjas effect texts, and heres one of my favorite, draw 1 card for every ninja you have in play (The meijin who rolls a die to determine the effect applied this effect near the end of the round and made 3 people lose the game all at the same time due to deck out.) Those are just some of the effects that came to mind, some dont effect the game as much while some flip the whole thing around. Its a tourney where your best off using a generic deck and dont expect to win cause it will have so many twists. We all usually include random anti stuff in our decks and healing so we can recover from whatever the list does to us lol.

Someone brought a shukaku deck to that one time, now that was funny. He either won real quick or lost real quick. I think the worst loss was when baby(turn0) gaara got killed and the whole deck died.

Interesting so it made ppl not make a deck around consistence and good effects, but ready for the randomness and best stuff to comp with them.

Yep, I mean don't get me wrong some ppl played with normal decks and still did ok but being prepared can win you games. Also sometimes you know your screwed so you just use a funner deck for shits and giggles and it does well lol. Our store in the end is all about fun, right off the bat I can tell you never look at our store to find what the meta is. But if you want to see someone running that one deck that no one thought anyone would run we might just be playing it.

the way we play around my way sometimes is what we call yugioh Format and how it works is real simpl the game is played the same but you can play as much mission as you like during you mission phase also you can play as much counter mission during your opponent's mission phase now we also use a mission phase 2 and your mission phase 2 works just like you mission phase and you can also play as much mission as you like but if you deployed a ninja during your mission phase you cannot deploy ninja during you mission phase 2 now the only way you can go to your mission phase 2 is by going to your battle phase and after Battle rewards are giving out and you would go to your end phase you can go to mission phase 2 once in mission phase 2 you cannot go to battle phase and you cannot go to organisation phase.
